Your email address is used to identify you when you log in. Your email address is where we send password reminders, account notices and other communications. You need a real and secure email address that only you access to ensure that your Politify account is secure. You must enter the full email address. It should look something like this: mailbox@domain.com or mailbox@domain.com.au
Please create a secure password for your account. This password is your proof of identity when logging in. Only you should know your password or have access to where it is stored. It should be something that others could not easily guess and ideally it should not be a word from any known language as these can be easilly hacked.
Please type your password again. We ask you to type your password twice to help avoid common typing errors that can happen when creating a password.
Please use your real, legal name. If you do not want your real name to be displayed next to public posts, there are options inside Politify to protect your identity. But we need a real name to ensure you are a real person. Everyone must record a First Given Name.
If you have more than one middle name, please include only your first. If you do not have a middle name, please leave blank. If you have a middle name, this can help to identify you as a unique person and different to someone with the same given and family name. If you do not want your middle name to be displayed publicly, you can choose this from the Display Name options below. If you do have a middle name, please include it even if you don't want it displayed.
In some cultures, your family name is put first but inside Politify the family name comes last. No matter what culture you get your name from, please type your family name (or what is used in place of your family name) in this box. If you do not have a family name or if you only have one name, please leave blank.
Considered old fashioned by some, your title might help to identify your gender, your marital status as a woman, it might identify you as a unique person and different from a father or son / mother or daughter of the same name or it might indicate a level of academic achievement.
The options here describe how your name will be displayed to you at the top of your User Account page, how you will be addressed in email and other communications and how your name will appear to Politify staff and to the public. If you do not want to be identified publicly, there are options inside Politify to secure your privacy.
The Legal Gender option here describes your gender as it is recorded on legal documents. You will notice that there are seven gender options. Most people will use one of the first two. A minority of people should use one of the others. Some options may not be recognised within your legal jurisdiction. Other gender and sexuality related options are available inside Politify. Your selection here will help to connect you with topic threads that are gender related. This information can be made private.
Your Date Of Birth (DOB) is the exact day, month and year you were born. This is used to identify you as a unique individual and different to someone with the same name. It will also help to connect you with topic threads that are age / generation related.
This is the country where you are considered a legal citizen. You will have an identification card, birth certificate, passport and/or citizenship papers from this country.
This address is your Home Address where you sleep most of the time. Your Home Address is used to connect you with topic threads that are relevant to where you spend your time. Inside Politify you can connect yourself to other topic threads for places you work, study, drive, holiday etc. If you move around allot, are homeless or have no fixed address please record any address you are comfortable with and mark the checkbox. Everybody needs to enter a Home Address even if it is approximate.
This is the email you have linked your Politify account to. You will have recorded this email address when you registered and created a Politify account. You must enter the full email address. It should look something like this: mailbox@domain.com or mailbox@domain.com.au
